This is how I and thousands of others will remember Tony Sly - performing on stage. No Use for a Name at the Kings Arms in ‘05 was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. Lucky enough to see them play again a couple of years later with Strung Out at the same venue, and I saw Tony play solo with Joey Cape in 2010, which was an absolute treat. I also spoke to him at a couple of these shows and he was more than welcoming to overexcited fans like me. Thanks for the memories, Tony! Condolences to Tony’s family and those who knew him well.

And don’t sing to them either. No wonder they hide in their hotel rooms. Poor bastards.

When I’m feeling low I find ska puts a smile on my dial. This song is my happy place.

When you take away her wackiness there really is nothing to differentiate her from any other pop star. I just don’t understand the hype. That meat dress thing was pretty sexy and cool though. Not enough girls wear meat dresses, in my opinion. Meanwhile, these nutters have too much time on their hands.

I’m not sure whether it is “woah” or “whoa”. Neither looked right or sounded right in my head. And it turns out people on the internet play it differently as well. If I’m wrong I’ll change it. Go on, prove me wrong.

This one is for one of my best friends, Hayden. He has a brilliant band called Great North. You should listen to them and make them big. Otherwise he will have to start a Bruce Springsteen covers band and no one wants that. Listen to Great North here.

And our country is nicer than the big one over there.
